ParkBathe is a green health project providing forest bathing as a means to improve the health and wellbeing of people who might not normally engage in mindful activities. Forest bathing can lower stress, calm your mind and body and boost your immune system. While it might sound a bit odd, forest bathing is simply walking slowly in nature whilst noticing our surroundings – no water is involved!.
A guide leads each one hour session inviting walkers to use their senses in fun and engaging ways which are often surprisingly relaxing. Two walkers have the option to wear a HRV chest strap which measures their stress levels before and after the walk, and will receive personalised results at the end. All walkers are invited to be part of our Citizen Science study collecting vital wellbeing data.
